The SM39PWB-DFL single flange differential pressure transmitter is composed of the SM39PWB-CY series differential pressure transmitter and a single flange installed by welding. Its working principle is the same as that of the SM39PWB-CY series differential pressure transmitter, except that the pressure transmission path on the positive pressure side is slightly different: the pressure acting on the high pressure side first passes through the diaphragm and filling liquid on the single flange, then through the transmitter body, and finally reaches the high pressure side of the measuring sensor.

The diaphragm box of the single flange differential pressure transmitter is used to prevent the medium in the pipeline from directly entering the pressure sensor component of the differential pressure transmitter. Silicone oil and other filling liquids are used to transmit pressure between it and the transmitter.

SM39PWB-DFL single flange differential pressure transmitter is used to measure the level, density, pressure, and flow of liquid, gas or steam, and then convert it into 4mA~20mADC HART current signal output. It can also communicate with HART handheld devices to set parameters and monitor processes. The measurement range of SM39PWB-DFL single flange differential pressure transmitter (when not migrated) is 0...1kPa~2MPa, and the rated pressure of single flange is: 1.6/4MPa, 6.4MPa, 10MPa, 150psi, 300psi or 600psi.


  1. Working principle and structure

The SM39PWB-DFL single flange differential pressure transmitter is composed of the SM39PWB-CY series differential pressure transmitter and a single flange installed by welding. Its working principle is the same as that of the SM39PWB-CY series differential pressure transmitter, but the pressure transmission path on the positive pressure side is slightly different: the pressure acting on the high pressure side first passes through the diaphragm and filling liquid on the single flange, and then through the transmitter body to reach the high pressure side of the measuring sensor.

The minimum range of the differential pressure level transmitter should be the larger value of the minimum range in Table 1 and Table 2. The adjusted range shall not be less than the minimum range. The maximum range of the level transmitter should be the minimum of the maximum range of the transmitter body and the rated pressure of the single flange.

Two-wire system, 4mA~20mADC HART output, digital communication, HART protocol is loaded on 4mA~20mADC signal.

  1. Response time

The damping constant of the amplifier component is 0.1s; the time constant of the sensor and single flange is 0.2s to 2s, depending on the range and range ratio. The additional adjustable time constant is: 0.1s to 60s. The additional adjustable time constant is: 0.1s to 60s.

    1. Installation conditions

The transmitter can be fixed directly in any position with a single flange. The best condition is to keep the process flange axis vertical, and position deviation will produce a correctable zero offset. The electronic housing can be rotated up to 360° and the set screws can fix it in any position.

Medium temperature limit: -30℃~180℃

The pressure limit of the transmitter body is from 3.5kPa absolute pressure to the rated pressure. The protection pressure can be greater than 1.5 times the rated pressure and is applied to both sides of the transmitter at the same time.

Process connection

The transmitter has a UNF 7/16" internal thread on the low pressure side. The single flange on the high pressure side of the transmitter complies with ANSI or DIN standards. It can be directly installed, refer to the dimensional drawing.

Note 1: When selecting a single flange sealing device, you should first complete the selection of the SM39PWB-CY differential pressure transmitter;

Note 2: The diaphragm with PTFE membrane, that is, F4 diaphragm, can be used for negative pressure measurement, but is only suitable for flat single flange.

Note 4: The minimum range of the level transmitter should be the larger value of the minimum range in Table 1 and Table 2. The adjusted range shall not be less than the minimum range. In order to make the performance of the differential pressure transmitter stable, the range ratio should be selected to be less than 10:1.

Note 5: When the measured pressure or working static pressure is less than 50kPa (absolute pressure), special remarks should be made and special treatment is required during the manufacturing process to ensure performance.
